With a strong focus on improving CNS care and core competencies in data analysis, we are dedicated to making a difference in the healthcare industry. Today, Clouds of Care already makes waves with our two in-house brands Epilog (epilog.care) and Somnilog (somnilog.care), and will continue to do so through internal developments and external partnerships!

As a Software Engineer, you will be developing medical-grade applications, while using software development best practices to ensure high quality solutions. You will be a key player in the development of our cloud-based platform for offering digital medicine solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud products following the well architected framework. Testing and critical thinking is an important aspect of the job to ensure robustness and to validate the performance of the solution.
Next to the development of our cloud platform, the applications on top, and their services, you will also be involved in the design and development of medical-grade analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for our Clouds of Care platform and novel cloud-based applications
- Writing high-quality code, documentation and tests
- Providing feedback to team members and exchanging best practices
- Monitoring the performance of the developed application and system, correcting defects and identifying recommendations for future improvements
- Creating clear technical specifications and assisting in the creation of operational documentation
- Designing and developing the technical layout of the application, ensuring a good fit with the system as a whole, and creating optimal designs in regulated contexts
- Applying the highest standards of cybersecurity
Required competencies
- Bachelor's or master's degree in informatics, computer science, engineering, or another related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a software engineering or cloud development role
- Experience with AWS development
- Knowledge of distributed and scalable systems, serverless architecture, API management
- Experience with Python
- Experience with software testing
- Experience with version control systems (git)
- Communicative in English, both written and spoken
The following competencies are a plus
- Experience in working within an ISO 27001:2013 certified organization
- Experience working within a MedTech (ISO 13485 certified) or HealthTech environment
- AWS certifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- GitLab CI/CD
- Problem-solving mindset
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data security such as HIPAA and GDPR
